She’s the authentic and incredibly inspiring national voice for afterschool. And in this relaxed, unscripted discussion, Jodi Grant will connect with a small group of passionate OST professionals who represent a cross-section of roles in the field. Jodi will share how local, state and federal policies are influencing your programs, and she wants you to share your hurdles and successes to inform policy going forward. This session will leave you energized to advocate for your program and to support and expand quality afterschool and summer programs for children and youth everywhere.
Fifteen (15) seats have been granted for each session, for a total of thirty (30) winners. Winners were contacted by email on February 18.
The Afterschool Alliance is a nonprofit public awareness and advocacy organization working to ensure that all children and youth have access to quality, affordable afterschool programs. As Executive Director, Jodi Grant oversees all aspects of the Afterschool Alliance’s work – setting its goals and strategies for reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, working with the field to help programs tap into federal funding streams, and supervising research to help national, state and local afterschool advocates and providers support, create and expand quality afterschool programs.
“Afterschool programs keep kids safe, inspire learning and give parents peace of mind. For every child in a program, two are waiting to get in. We’re working to change that.”
