Pre-Conference: GA Campaign for Grade-Level Reading

Pre-Conference Session: GA Statewide Campaign for Grade-Level Reading Meeting

Campaign for Grade-Level Reading

Wednesday, February 20, 2019 | 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Space is limited; by invitation only.

The Campaign for Grade-Level Reading will lead this interactive discussion with Georgia GLR communities on how to achieve bigger outcomes, larger impact, and more sustainable scale in efforts to improve early reading success across the U.S.

The Campaign focuses on reading proficiency by the end of third grade, a key predictor of high school graduation and a milestone missed by more than 80 percent of low-income children. Our conversation will focus on how Georgia communities are fueling improved outcomes in school readiness, school attendance and summer learning by focusing on parent success and healthy child development as critical determinants of early school success. The discussion will also include a live demonstration of the GLR Learning System, a new online tool designed to harness the power of networked learning for improvement and impact.
