Catching Up and Getting Ahead: A Data-Driven Learning Recovery Framework for OST Programs

The last two years have been difficult for everyone, especially for our students. With remote learning and other academic interruptions, there are many questions about the types of supports students will need to recover academically, socially, and emotionally. Setbacks caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have underscored the need for data-driven decision-making that supports learning recovery for out-of-school time participants. Many of the data sources commonly used by programs are difficult to obtain or insufficient to monitor program quality and ensure effectiveness. In this session, we will discuss how program leaders and decision makers can creatively leverage data to meet the emerging needs of students in our programs
