Keeping Kids Healthy and Safe: Hot Topics and Effective Practices
Michael Ambrose, SchoolDoc
Each year, schools and auxiliary programs are entrusted with the responsibility of keeping students healthy and safe. In this workshop, Dr. Michael Ambrose, board certified pediatrician and lead author of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) national policy statement, Improving Health and Safety at Camp, will share his expertise on keeping students healthy and safe in schools and auxiliary programs.
As the medical expert for the COVID-19 Field Guide created by the American Camp Association (ACA) and YMCA, Dr. Ambrose will also address the unique challenges of implementing and following new rules and policies related to the ongoing pandemic.
Together we’ll discuss the latest guidance and effective practices from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Academy of Pediatrics to help your group reduce risk and keep health and safety in the forefront of operations. Dr. Ambrose will also introduce tools and technology designed to assist in the management of health forms, allergies, medications, illness/injury tracking, and more.
