Early Bird Workshop: Young Entrepreneurship with Startup Smartup

ABSTRACT:

The YMCA After School Zone program is funded by a grant from the Orange County Government. The program provides students in grades 6 through 8 with academic supports and enrichment activities.

One of their newest activities is Startup Smartup, an educational resource to inspire young entrepreneurs. The program provides students with in-depth video tutorials, step-by-step guides, and connections to local area mentors.

Our friends from Startup Smartup will be showcasing the program in Junior Ballroom F. This presentation is open to everyone. If you’d like to also go on the site visit, you will need to register for that separately.

Let’s learn to take care of ourselves before taking care of others! Join us for a fun, inspirational, informative, and engaging Vitality Café. Vitality Cafés are transformative conversations that use the Be Strong Families Vitality Domains and empowered engagement techniques to help participants come up with strategies to improve their overall holistic health. These cafés are fun, inspirational, and full of positive energy. They are also an opportunity to shift the conversation about well-being as a foundation for a strong family from the personal and physical to the communal and holistic.
