This presentation will immerse you in effective ways to set your students up for success in academics and relationships. You will learn methods to build mental wellness in your young learners through SEL, service learning, and character education. You will experience how to connect students with one another and the world around them, positively impacting their self-esteem, empathy, self-efficacy, and resiliency while improving their academic performance.
Participants will discover usable examples of ways to actively engage Pre-K to 5 students in service learning, character education, and civic learning. You and your students will have fun as you experience first-hand evidence-based activities that improve social skills, mental well-being, and academic achievement.
You will learn ways to include all students in working together to help others in their community, regardless of their socio-economic background. You’ll take away tools to help foster equity and a level, positive learning environment for all. You and your students will be empowered with tools to give your learners a foundation of character, generosity, and gratitude — building a foundation for improved academic performance and life skills for whole-student success!
