The role that community-based organizations (CBOs) play in the lives of youth is truly special. Whereas day school focuses on teaching the basic skills needed to participate in the global economy, CBOs prepare children and youth for success in life by cultivating their social and emotional development. This workshop aides CBOs in their indispensable role as youth advocates by giving program administrators and their staffs a time-proven, simple strategy for empowering youth. Regardless of their particular program design, the 7 Prosperity Principle: Passion, Purpose, Perspective, People, Preparation, Performance, and Persistence equips CBOs with the curriculum they truly need to guide youth beyond the obstacles confronting them in school and in life
