City of Orlando Mayor’s Welcome Letter

March 1, 2026

On behalf of the City of Orlando, welcome to our community for the Foundations’ Beyond School Hours National Conference. We’re thrilled that this event is being held in Orlando.

I hope that you have a wonderful time learning, sharing and making connections with other educators and leaders. Please know that as Mayor, I am incredibly grateful for your dedication to ensuring that children have access to opportunities throughout the day that help them learn, grow and thrive.
During your time here, I invite you to experience Orlando, which has so much to offer visitors. I am proud that our community is vibrant, inclusive and welcoming.

You probably know about our world-class theme parks and attractions, where imagination becomes reality. But you may not be aware that Orlando is also filled with authentic experiences. This includes arts and cultural offerings, a diverse food scene, recreational amenities, sporting events and thriving small businesses that are located throughout the community.

There is something for everyone in Orlando, giving you endless possibilities to have fun and create unforgettable memories. I hope that you find the conference rewarding and can also create opportunities to enjoy some of the many unique experiences that play a part in making Orlando unbelievably real.

Sincerely,

Buddy Dyer
Mayor
