Georgette E. Spratling serves as Assistant Director at the North Miami Public Library and is pursuing her PhD in Library and Information Science at Simmons University. Her academic credentials include an MA in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida, an MA in Liberal Studies from the University of Miami, and a BS in Sociology and Social Work from Florida A&M University. Over her seven years in public libraries, Georgette has focused her professional practice and research on serving underserved communities, working to equip librarians and library workers with the knowledge and tools needed to meaningfully connect with these populations through targeted resources and programming.
