STEM Lending Library: How to Bridge Local Place-Based Science for K-12 Use

Engage with the Desert Research Institute’s innovative Green Box Program – a STEAM education initiative developed as a bridge between educators and scientists and bring hands-on learning to life. Green Boxes are self-contained STEAM education kits that support both K-12 and informal education groups. Each Green Box includes NGSS-aligned grade-specific and hands-on curriculum units, along with all supplies needed for classrooms of up to 40 students to engage. During this interactive session, participants will explore Green Boxes and their supplies, engage with sample lessons, and learn about this innovative program and how to integrate it into their educational settings.
