The Beyond School Hours STEAM Fair will look a little different this year! For our 30th anniversary, we’ll be focusing on student-facing activity plans in the form of a classic science fair.

That’s right! We’re throwing it back with a 90’s-style STEAM Fair featuring classic science fair displays, tri-fold boards, hands-on demonstrations, and innovative learning experiences from educators across the country.

We’re looking for activities that:

• • • Can be easily implemented by other education professionals
    • Use accessible and affordable materials
    • Are relevant to students’ everyday lives
    • Engage young people in hands-on learning
    • Demonstrate evidence of student learning

If your activity is selected:

• • • You’ll present your activity during the STEAM Fair
    • Your activity plan will be published in a resource for conference attendees
    • You’ll have the opportunity to share your work with educators from across the field
    • You’ll have the opportunity to bring youth from your program as co-presenters to help showcase their learning

The Application Deadline is November 15th, 2026! Acceptance notifications will begin on November 18th, 2026.
