Literacy for Life

Workshops in this strand focus on expanding literacy learning through innovative, evidence-based, and inclusive practices that empower all learners to thrive. Sessions explore how in school and afterschool educators can strengthen reading, writing, communication, and critical thinking while building meaningful connections across disciplines, cultures, and learning experiences.  Attendees will gain practical strategies to foster student voice, deepen comprehension, support multilingual learners, and integrate creativity, inquiry, and real-world application into literacy instruction.  Topics include:
